The scientific world in Pesantren is enriched by the creativity of ulamas in the process of studying religious sciences. Some ulamas in Pesantren who have, so far, been believed to use oral media turn out to posses some writen transcripts which have not been studied further. The written works in the form of such manuscripts have a high historical value because they represent local ideas in their social settings. As the works of religious elites in their time, those manuscripts should be studied to uncover the social history at that time and to be used as evidence of the inclusiveness level of the society comprehension of their religion.
