This research investigates hizb al tahrir [HT] as one of Islamic fundamentalist groups. The investigation deals thor5oughly with three aspects of HT: 1. It ideological construct and its objectivication, 2. The network among its members, and 3. HT as a social movement. To conduct the investigation this study draws on qualitative research paradigm, which is implemented by the methods of hermeunetics, depth interview, and participant observation. The investigation of this research shows the following result. Firstly, HT is to be regarded as an exemplar of universalistics religiopolitical fundamentalist group. This term is coined to suggest that the movement of HT as a fundamentalist group is not only based on religious motives but also on political motives with universal orientation.he.
