SMU-PLUS Muthahhari Bandung : praksis teologi pluralisme dalam pendidikan agama /
Indonesian societies that are plural in terms of SARA [suku, agama, ras dan antargolongan], i.e. ethnicity, religion, race and groups, representa potential and at the same time a threat for the unity of the country. Some existing conflicts that have nuances of the SARA are related to the failure of the nation in understanding plurality. Specifically speaking, religious education is said to fail in managing the diversity through education that exceeds the religious boundaries. The religious education is supposed to be a vehicle for improving the universal morality that is provided in religions and for improving the awareness of theological pluralism. Up to now, religions tend in fact to be exclusive and dogmatic. In consequence, the ideal goal, i.e. to reach the state of plural harmonic societies, still represents a dream. It is expected, however, that the goal of education is to transform the religious life by seeing its spiritual and socio-cultural aspects. The religious.....yo.
