Up to now the Qadiriyah-Naqsyabandiyah sufi movement in Lombok still exist as a traditional religious institution. In addition to the fact that it has its own historical root, its existence has a significant role in building the pattern of the religiousity of the society. However, in its development it is not free from certain political interest and power. This study aims at showing that this movement has a strong emotional relationship with political parties. Both sides receive their own advantages. This relationship is very important for the sufi movement in order to support its exixtance. Certain political parties can increase also public support, especially in this area. This relationship occurs continually. Nevertheless, in its dynamics the polarisation also happens. At this moment the variety in the pattern of communication become more apparent. This study concludes that there are at least three kinds of communication pattern: accomodative collaborative and critical.yo.
