This article tries to discuss and criticize Syahrur's thought on the pillars of Islam and Iman. In his view, Islam begins from the Prophet Noah and ends in the Prophet Mohamed through the Prophet Abraham, Jacob, Moses, and Jesus Alaihimussalam. The pillars o Islam and Iman which are commonly believed by moslems so far are not referred to al Qura'an. According to him, the pillars of Islam are 1)believe in the existence of Allah, 2)believe in the day after, 3)good deed, and the pillars of Iman are 1)believe in Allah's guidance, 2)truth, 3)God's messengers, 4)the books of guidance brought by the messengers.ifa.
