Sicilia is a symbol of the spreading process of Islam in Italy. Sicilia had succeeded to develop Islamic civilization in many aspects. As a center of Islamic sciences and culture, its glory and development can be traced from the numbers of mosques and universities that could be competed with Cordova Universuty in Baghdad. Because of its prosperity, Sicilia was famous as 'great land' together with Spain. This phenomenon also brought to the other famous scientists in many other fields: among others, Asad ibnu al Furat, an expert on figh, language, and war strategy; Jauhar al Siqli, an expert on war strategy; Muhammad Ibnu Khurasan, an expert on language; and Muhammad Ibnu al Hasan Ibnu Ali, an expert on fiqh. Therefore, Sicilia as a center of the spread of Islamic civilization could colorize the world and regain the golden age that had ever gained.ifa.
